April 2025 Update:

It is so much fun ensuring classes would be traditional. Working across 5 different times zones with students of different backgrounds. Looking at year-round greenhouses for healthy lifestyles. Working with National Parks to ensure the horse and Bison are able to be returned to the Lakota nation. Oh Lord although slow, WE are moving forward.

If you celebrate a certain family tradition during the year and it continues for generations, you know how important it is to pass that down.

At the beginning stages of the school, the primary purpose is to allow Elders to teach to the younger generation the following of an ever-growing list:

Lakota Language

Songs & Stories

Bow & Arrow

Bison

Horses

History

Indigenous Peoples Law

As the Lakota Nation were nomadic hunters, before land can be acquired to return to the Lakota nation to house the school, some “pick up classes” could be held in different or historical locations. Again, this is a awesome process with much to learn for everyone.
